Our vision: A world in which antibiotics are used rationally for the global good

Antibiotic Defense is a Washington DC based organization of doctors, lawyers, scientists, and professionals dedicated to conserving the availability and efficacy of antibiotics. In addition, it is comprised of student-led chapters founded at various academic institutions across the United States including the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the University of Michigan Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Antibiotic Defense aims to rethink how we view antibiotics. It promotes new frameworks through which the global community can approach the growing problem of antibiotic resistance. By establishing new paradigms of thought, Antibiotic Defense identifies gaps in our understanding of antibiotic resistance and pioneers clear solutions. Our strengths are built on our innovations in research, education, and advocacy and from our commitment to improving the health of current and future generations.
